Trend I Love: Floral Embroidery

Floral embroidery is a trend I fell in love with as soon as I saw it on the New York Fashion Week runways last year! From Tory Burch to Marchesa, this fabulous floral trend caught on quickly and went from runway to retail in a matter of months.

Being that floral is my favorite pattern, I am more than excited to add some embroidered pieces to my wardrobe. Popular affordable fashion shops such as Charlotte Russe, River Island, and Topshop are introducing embroidery into their upcoming spring collections. Thrift shops, Etsy, and/or Depop offer a great selection handmade and thrifted options. And of course, there’s always the good old DIY approach. Floral applique patches average $2-$15 in price and are relatively easy to attach any item (even shoes)!

What I love about this trend is that it’s an elegant twist on the tried-and-true floral pattern. It’s the perfect combination of trendy and versatile. It can be dressed up with tulle and satin or dressed down with denim and leather. Imagine all the looks that can be created!
