Take a look at these tips on how to healthily transform your body in time for your vacation:

  • Only eat when you’re hungry. A massive mistake that many people make around the world is eating because it’s ‘deemed’ to be a time to eat. Really take notice of what your body is telling you and you will soon find that more often than not, you’re not actually hungry.

  • When you do eat a meal, serve yourself portions on a smaller plate - this is a great way of fooling the brain into thinking it’s eating more than it has. Listen to your body again here and only eat until the feeling of hunger goes away. You will find that you’re hungry sooner than before, but eating little and often is easier for the body to digest.

  • Drink loads of water. A great tip to try is to have a glass of water when your body is showing signs of hunger because it’s often telling you that it needs water. Have a glass of water and wait ten minutes. If you still feel hungry, then eat some food.

  • Eat slower and savour every bite. It takes your brain longer to realise your stomach is satisfied, so eating slower allows it to catch up.

  • It doesn’t matter if you’ve still got food on your plate, you can always wrap it up and save it for later.

  • You don’t have to cut out any of the foods that you enjoy that are naughty. You can still eat chocolate, crisps, chips, burgers, and ice cream as long as you follow the guidelines above.

Using this method allows your body to burn off the calories faster and will actually retrain your body and mind into eating right. Many people who have used this technique have commented that they no longer crave fatty or naughty foods and find themselves eating healthier than they ever have done. Heading to the salon a week or so before your vacation for a fresh cut and colour will have you turning heads wherever you are on holiday. Plus, the sun tends to dry out your hair, so having it in it’s best condition will ensure that you don’t return with very damaged hair.


Super soft and silky skin is what everybody desires but unfortunately, it doesn’t come naturally for everyone. Why not get the girls together and go for some facials so that you can avoid any breakouts and have super glowing skin while you’re on vacation?

Why not treat yourself to a leg, underarm and bikini wax too so that you don’t have to worry about any pesky shaving while you’re away? Remember to moisturise often to keep your legs looking amazing.


Another great way of pampering yourself before your vacation is going to get your nails done. Have a mani/pedi so that you’re no self conscious about your feet or hands when you’re bearing all.

Okay, so we don’t necessarily mean a real fashion show (unless you have the means to!), we mean get the girls together and flaunt your holiday outfits so that you can get opinions on what you’re taking with you. There’s nothing worse than arriving to your destination and regretting the clothing that you’ve taken with you, and who else is better to give you advice? Your besties!
